Sarwar Danesh, Second Vice President, delivering speech at the 14th anniversary of constitution, said despite of anticipation of millions of Afghanistan people, national distribution program of e-Tazkiras has been taken into hostage by tribal extremist groups.
Danesh considered provoking tribal division as dangerous and clear violating of constitution, adding that based on the country’s constitution, no group was superior on another group and no group could impose its particular vision on others.
He asked all national figures and political leaders to act with full tolerance in this regard.
“A series of issues related to e-Tazkiras are related to constitution not population registration law. All national identification signs including religion, nationality, language, name of the country, flag and national anthem and others haven mentioned and organized in the constitution and anybody who has any suggestions should raise them upon modification of constitution instead of avoiding distribution of e-Tazkiras.
Second vice president considered the country’s current constitution as the best and an exceptional constitution in the history of the country.
Danesh also considered that Afghanistan political system was a democratic one and based on religious and national values and bonding principal rights and freedoms of the country’s citizens, adding that the country’s constitution is the guarantee of political stability and national unity.
“Perspective of constitutional violations, non-separation of the provisions of the law and the political agreement of the national unity never take the place of the constitution and it is safe,” Danesh said, adding that the recent political agreements or the agreement over the formation of the National Unity Government should not be seen as being in violation of the constitution.
Danesh said: “If in some cases the constitution is violated, hundreds of other cases have been implemented according to it from political to cultural and to individual cases.”
He pointed out that people violating the constitution need to be prosecuted. Danesh also rejected claims that only one article of the constitution is being implemented but does acknowledge that parts of the constitution are being violated.
