President Ghani Meets His Turkish & Kazakh Counterparts

President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on second day of his official visit to Kazakhstan met yesterday with his Turkish counterpart Rajab Tayyep Urdogan in Astana, capital city of Kazakhstan.
In the meeting, both sides stressed on expansion of relations and continued cooperation between Afghanistan and Turkey.
“His country has historic relations with Afghanistan,” said the Turkish President. He welcomed the US new strategy for Afghanistan, adding that Turkey was ready to any kind of cooperation with Afghanistan in various sections.
Declaring preparation for improvement of relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan, the Turkish President said his country was supporting Afghan-led peace process.
Praising Turkish President for expressing cooperation with Afghanistan in various sections in particular supporting peace process, President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani asserted that after announcement of the US new strategy for Afghanistan and the region a good opportunity has been provide and it should be used in a good way.
“Afghanistan wants good relations with its neighbors and is ready to have overall talks with Pakistan”, said President Ghani, insisting that the current situation should be changed.
President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan while considering terrorism as a serious threat for the region and the world countries stressed on serious fight against this phenomenon. According to another report, in his meeting with Kazakhstan President Noor Sultan Nazabrayov said that Afghanistan had deep relations with Kazakhstan and the relations would further expand. In the meeting, both sides discussed expansion of transit cooperation between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
President Ghani asked Kazakhstan to cooperate with Afghanistan in repairing military equipment, which was accepted by Kazakhstan President.
